Dolliver – Funeral services for Sylvia M. [Myrtle] Anderson, 98, of Dolliver will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 12 at United Methodist Church in Dolliver with Reverend Dan Miller officiating. Interment will be held at Lincoln Township Cemetery in Dolliver. She died on Friday, April 7 a Rosewood Manor in Estherville.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 11 at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville.

She was born on Feb. 28, 1902 in Dolliver, the daughter of Samuel and Ruth (Reed) Cayler. She received her education in the Dolliver schools, graduating in 1918.

On Dec. 8, 1920 she was united in marriage to Paul Anderson in Fairmont, Minn. She was a homemaker all of her married life and was noted as an excellent cook. She loved growing flowers and making Christmas candy.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Dolliver. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by five sons: Carleton Anderson of Knoxville, Dean Anderson and his wife, Delores, of Jackson, Minn., Paul Anderson, Jr. and his wife, Fern of Dunnell, Minn., David Anderson and his wife, Nancy of Red Oak, and Clair Anderson of Dolliver; 18 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; two sisters-in-law, Adeline Anderson of Cushing, Minn. and Jane Cayler of Clarion and several nieces and nephews.
