A.B. Boyington, Dolliver, Dies in Estherville
Pioneer of Dolliver Passes Away After Lingering Illness – Funeral Held Last Friday
Allen Bassett Boyington was born April 14, 1869, near Galt, Iowa, and died in the Estherville Hospital, Dec. 20, 1922, at the age of 53 years, 8 months and 6 days. He was married to Fannie A. Collins Nove. 23, 1892, at Hampton, Iowa. To this union nine children were born: Gerald O. of Des Moines; Mrs. L. Fern Koenecke of Madelia, Minn.; Mrs. June Neilly of Dolliver; Thad A.; Hugh L.; V. Lucile; G. Leota; G. Bernice are at home at Swan Lake, Iowa, Esther M. having died in infancy.

He also leaves an aged mother who lives near Galt, and two brothers, Charles and Elmer.

Besides these he leaves a host of friends to mourn his loss. His kind disposition made his friends numerous. He will always be remembered as a loving husband and father and a kind neighbor.

The funeral service was held at the Community M.E. Church, Friday, Dec. 22, 1922, his friend, Rev. Herbert Marsh, the pastor conducting the service. Interment was at the Dolliver cemetery.
