Mildred Hayes
Lakeside, Calif. – Mildred Hayes, formerly of Estherville, died Sept. 4, in Lakeside, Calif., where services and interment were performed.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Ankrum, she married Jack Hayes in 1939. They resided in Lakeside and El Cajon, Calif. She was a member of the Methodist Church and a graduate of Estherville High School. She was a registered nurse and practiced in California.

Survivors include twin children, Michael and Lynn Swink; a sister, Vera Hageman, Huntsville, Mo.; and a brother, Merton Ankrum, Lynwood, Wash.

Mrs. Hayes was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a stepfather and two brothers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, October 8, 1979)
