Death has again entered the home of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Balmer and taken from them their little three-year-old baby girl. Little Dora died on Wednesday, February 2nd, after three weeks of great suffering. The funeral was held at the home, Friday afternoon, and the little form was laid to rest in the Dolliver cemetery, beside her little sister, who died just seven weeks ago. This is indeed a sad blow to the family and their many friends sympathize with them in this their second great sorrow. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, February 9, 1916)
