Mrs. Olson fell Tuesday just outside the door of her home when she slipped on ice and struck her head against a sharp object, probably a porch step. She did not know exactly what her head had struck. She had gone outside to sweep snow off the front sidewalk when the accident occurred.

Mrs. Olson was able to get up and go to the home of a neighbor, Mrs. Charles Mitchell, for assistance after the mishap and was taken at once to Holy Family hospital. She died there at 11:15 last night.

Ida Lande was born March 5, 1876, in Polk county near Des Moines. She lived there until she moved with her family to Emmet county near the Minnesota state line. She had lived in and around Estherville most of her life. She was confirmed and baptized in the Estherville Lutheran church. On April 1, 1897, she was united in marriage to Andrew W. Olson by the Rev. H. Engh.

She has been active in the affairs of her church until recent years when she has been failing in health.

She was preceded in death by her husband who died in 1917, a son, Elmer, who died in 1900, a daughter, Mary, who died in 1903 and another daughter, Mable, who was married to George Harvey and who died in 1945.

Mrs. Olson is survived by three sons, Olai of Estherville, Albert of Indianapolis, and Rev. Stanly Olson of Jackson, Minn. Also two brothers, Ben and Martin Lande, both of Estherville.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 at the Mahlum and Sandin funeral home and at 2 p.m. at the Estherville Lutheran church. The Rev. C.N. Hanson will officiate.
