Mrs. Henry Olson Dies
Funeral Rites Will Be Sunday
Mrs. Henry Olson, 61 years old, a resident of Emmet county for 44 years, died last night at her home three miles northwest of here following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Olson submitted to an operation at a local hospital several weeks ago from which she never recovered.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at the Harold Reed home and 3 p.m. at the Norwegian Lutheran church with the Rev. L.A. Mathre officiating. Interment is to be made in the Norwegian cemetery.

Mrs. Olson was born July 30, 1875 in Norway and came to Emmet county with her parents when she was 17 years old. Thirty-nine years ago she was married to Henry Olson at Spirit Lake, the couple moving to a farm in Emmet county.

Surviving are her husband, two sons, Sgt. Elmer Olson of Ft. Ontario, N.Y.; and Martin Olson, Estherville; two daughters, Mrs. Harold Reed, Estherville; and Miss Dorothy Olson, Estherville.

She is also survived by her mother, two sisters and a brother living in Norway.

The body of Mrs. Olson will be at the home of Mrs. Reed, 721 South Ninth street from this evening until time of the funeral. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, September 3, 1936)
