Services for Mrs. Wicks
Graveside funeral services were held for Mrs. John Wicks on Monday, April 7 and interment in the Lutheran cemetery with the Rev. L.G. Hinderaker officiating. Mrs. Wicks passed away on Thursday, April 13 at Sioux Falls, S.D., and is survived by her husband, John Wicks, a former resident of our community and also four sons and four daughters besides other relatives. Funeral services were held in Sioux Falls Monday forenoon with the Rev. K. Wallace officiating. Pallbearers at the local graveside services were Henry Olson, Nels Walen, Martin Berge, Sten Tendal, Knute Tangeros and A. Stueland. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, April 21, 1950)
