The little babe of Mr. and Mrs. John Rygg is very sick and not expected to live. (Evening Tribune, Estherville, IA, April 28, 1902)

The little two-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Rygg died of stomach trouble early Tuesday [April 29, 1902] morning. Funeral services were held from the Lutheran church Wednesday and the body buried in the Norwegian cemetery north of town. The parents have the heartfelt sympathy of the community in their affliction. (Emmet County Republican, Estherville, IA, May 1, 1902)

The little two years old babe of Mr. and Mrs. John Rygg died last evening after an illness of only a few days with cholera infantum. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at the Norwegian Lutheran church. The parents and relative have the sympathy of this community in their sad affliction.
