Former Estherville Young Man Dies at Hopkins, Minnesota
Martin Ringham, son of Mr. and Mrs. I.S. Ringham, former residents of Estherville, died at his home in Hopkins, Minnesota, at noon Sunday [January 19, 1913] after a lingering illness with tuberculosis. The Ringham family left Estherville about seven years ago and located at Hopkins where I.S. Ringham started a grocery store and his son, Martin, was associated in business with his father. Since contracting the dread disease Martin had spent some time at Seattle, Washington, where he hoped to gain relief. He returned to his Minnesota home a little over a year ago and gradually grew worse until the end came.

Prior to leaving Estherville, Martin worked in the P.L. Christensen grocery store, where he was an efficient and trusted clerk. He was united in marriage to Lillian Swenson of this county about seven years ago and to this union two sons were born, who are now five and three years of age. The many friends of the Ringham family in this city extend sympathy. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, January 22, 1913)
