Martha Nelson the bright fourteen months old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charley Nelson of Gruver died at five o’clock Wednesday morning after a short illness of pneumonia and measles. Funeral services were held at the home Thursday afternoon at two o’clock by Rev. Green of Dolliver. The remains were laid to rest in the Swan Lake cemetery. Mr. Nelson and family desire to express their appreciation of the kindness shown in their moments of sorrow. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, April 29, 1908)

Gruver
Martha, the eighteen months old girl of Mr. and Mrs. C.M. Nelson, died at the home of her parents at this place last Thursday morning of measles and other complications. Funeral services were held at the house Friday afternoon conducted by Rev. B.S. Green of Dolliver. Interment being made at the Swan Lake cemetery. The little fourteen months old babe of Mr. and Mrs. C.M. Nelson at Gruver died on Wednesday of last week of measles. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon and the little body interred in the Gruver cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Nelson are former residents of Estherville. (Estherville Democrat, Estherville, IA, April 29, 1908)

Note: Per cemetery records, Martha is buried in Norwegian cemetery with other members of her family. Also, 1903 does not seem like the right birth date.
