Mrs. Andrew Ledahl who was one of the pioneer residents of this county moving here in 1878, passed away at her home in North Dakota January 3rd. many people now living here remember this kindly woman. Her home town paper gives the following account of her life and death:
We are this week called upon to chronicle the sad death of one of our oldest and most respected citizens – Mrs. Andrew Ledahl.
After years of keen suffering death came as a rest to Mrs. Andrew Ledahl, beloved wife of Andrew Ledahl, on January 3rd at two o’clock in the afternoon.
The immediate cause of death is not definitely known, but we do know that she has been under medical treatment for about seventeen years. Neutritis was one contributory cause.
Even tho she suffered a great deal she was nevertheless always patient, and satisfied with her lot, whatever it might be.
She was a home loving mother, her constant passion being the temporal and spiritual welfare of her family.
She lived wholly for her dear husband and children and made every sacrifice for them.
During the last year especially, did she try to make life pleasant for her feeble husband, who is gradually growing blind.
This Christian mother and friend will certainly be missed by every individual in the community, who had the pleasure of her acquaintance. Now we feel confident that she is with God in Heaven, awaiting the moment, when she will once more be united with her dear ones. Blessed is her memory.
