Lande – Mrs. Lande [Enger Oleson Lande], wife of A.O. Lande, died at her home on West Maple street, Saturday evening, of consumption, after a long and painful illness. The funeral was conducted from the Lutheran church Tuesday, of which Mrs. Lande was a consistent member, and the burial took place at the Kettleson [Norwegian] cemetery. A large family and numerous friends mourn the death of this good woman. (Emmet County Republican, Estherville, IA, November 26, 1896)

Mrs. A.O. Lande died at her home in this city Saturday [November 21, 1896] night of consumption. The funeral was held from the Lutheran church Tuesday and the remains were consigned to a resting place in the cemetery north of town. Mrs. Lande was a Christian woman and an ardent worker in the Lutheran church, of which she was a member. Many relatives and friends remain to mourn her death.
