Hans Hanson died at his home in High Lake Tuesday morning, Aug. 27th, after a long and lingering illness. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 28th, from the church, Rev. Engh officiating. (Emmet County Republican, Estherville, IA, September 5, 1889)
