Spirit Lake – Funeral services for Marion J. Evenson, 82, of Estherville will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 14 at the Schuchert Funeral Home in Spirit Lake. Interment will be held at the Estherville Lutheran Cemetery [per cemetery records, Norwegian] in Estherville. She died on Thursday, July 10, 2003 at the Hilltop Care Center in Spirit Lake.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the Schuchert Funeral Home in Spirit Lake.

Marion was born on Aug. 27, 1920, the daughter of Marion and Annabelle (Fendler) Beeler.

Marion married Tom Evenson on Oct. 19, 1942 in St. Louis, Mo. Tom passed away in 1972 [February 10, 1971].

Marion enjoyed sewing, cooking and playing cards. She was a member of the American Legion and V.F.W. Auxiliaries.

Marion is survived by her daughter, Josephine Nelson and her husband, Del of Wahpeton; a son, Vert Oseing of St. Paul, Minn.; a step-son, Reuben Evenson and his wife, Ellen of Bewburgh, Ind.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and four step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
