Obituary - Ingval Hanson
Ingval Hanson, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Hans Ingelbretson [Engebrigtson]of this city, passed away at Janesville, Wisconsin, February 6, after a brief illness. News of his death came as a shock to his relatives, none having known of his illness. His sisters, Mesdames Olaf Skog and B.C. Borreson, hastened to Janesville on hearing of his death and brought the remains to this city for burial. Funeral services were conducted at the Norwegian Lutheran church on Monday afternoon.

Ingval Hanson was born in Norway, May 11, 1876. He came to Estherville with his parents in 1890, living here until 1903. Then he went to North Dakota, where he resided until 1919. At the time of his death he was in the employ of the Dupont Engineering Co., working at Janesville, Wisconsin. Mr. Hanson was a man of kindly disposition, ready to help those in need. He was a bricklayer by trade. He leaves to mourn his loss, an aged father and mother, seven sisters, among whom are Mesdames Ben Peterson, A.J. Anderson, Olaf Skog, E.C. Sutton, and B.C. Borreson, and also two brothers. (Estherville Democrat, Estherville, IA, February 18, 1920 / Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, February 18, 1920)
