Miss Clara Brunsvold died Sunday [February 24, 1901] morning at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. O. Brunsvold in Ellsworth township, after a brief but painful illness. It is an unusual sad death, she being but eighteen years of age. Her death was caused by brain fever. Funeral services were held from the family home yesterday afternoon and the remains interred in the Lutheran cemetery. The many friends of the family extend their heartfelt sympathy in this, their hour of bereavement. (Estherville Democrat, Estherville, IA, February 27, 1901)
