Estherville – Mrs. Anna Sophia Brunsvold, 94, died Thursday [November 30, 1976]at the Good Samaritan Center, Estherville. Funeral services will be 3 p.m., Saturday at the Estherville Lutheran Church with the Rev. Stanley Eyberg officiating and burial at the Estherville Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home, Estherville, until 1 p.m. Saturday.

Mrs. Brunsvold was born Feb. 12, 1882 at Slater to Hans and Maria Stenberg and was educated in Eagle Grove. She came to Estherville with her parents in 1900 and was married to Alfred C. Brunsvold Sept. 3, 1902 at Estherville. They lived on a farm until 1943 when she moved into Estherville. She had lived at the Good Samaritan Center for the past 4 ½ years. She was the mother of Lloyd Brunsvold, Emmet County treasurer for nearly 40 years.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Arnold (Fern) Clausen, Ringsted; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Lloyd Brunsvold, Estherville; four grandchildren, three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1939, two sons, one daughter, six brothers and three sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 12, 1976)
