Young Man Dead
Harry B. Borreson Passed Away At His Home Monday Morning
Harry B. Borreson died at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.M. Borreson on South Eighth street Monday [March 27, 1911] morning at 8 o’clock after an illness extending over a period of five years of tuberculosis. He made a brave fight for a longer lease of life, having slept out of doors on an enclosed porch up to a week ago. He spent one winter in a sanitarium in Iowa City and two winters at El Paso, Texas. Harry was a hard working young man, wholly trustworthy and very highly spoken of by all who knew him. He has been engaged as a driver for the different garages in town for the past few seasons and his work was always satisfactory. He underwent an operation for appendicitis last December and since that time has been gradually failing.

Harry B. Borreson was born October 15, 1884, at Helgeland, Norway, and came to this country with his parents in 1890. The family came to Estherville in 1891. He is survived by his parents, three sisters and four brothers. John, Theodore and B.C. Borreson, brothers of the deceased, are expected here from Minneapolis to attend the funeral which will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 from the Lutheran church. Rev. Akre will have charge and burial will be made in the Norwegian cemetery north of town.

Harry B. Borreson was born October 5, 1884, at Helgeland, Norway, and came to this country in 1890. The family came to Estherville in 1891. He was confirmed November 2, 1902. He is survived by his parents, three sisters, Dorthia Louisa, Johanna and Jennie and four brothers, B.C. Borreson of St. Paul, Peter Theodore and John Conrad of Minneapolis and Luvid John of this city. He was always considered a most deserving young man and hosts of friends mourn his untimely death. Funeral was held from the Lutheran church Thursday afternoon and was very largely attended. The remains were buried in the cemetery north of town.
