Augustine C. Anderson
Augustine C. Anderson was born on December 12, 1881, on a farm in Ellsworth township, and passed away at a hospital in Estherville, March 1, 1921, aged 39 years, 2 months and 17 days.

Mr. Anderson has, with the exception of a few years spent in South Dakota, been a lifelong resident of Estherville and vicinity. Here he was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. He grew to manhood on his father’s farm northeast of this city. For a time he engaged in farming, but later took up well work, moving to own. He was married to Julia Christenson in 1912. To this union was born five children, Kenneth, Everett, Ellen, Robert and Edward, who with their mother survive him. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Karl Anderson, three sisters and a brother also are left to mourn his loss.

Mr. Anderson had not been well for some time. His illness took a turn for the worse but a few days before his death. He was taken to the hospital, but the hand of death could not be stayed, and he passed away last Tuesday.

Funeral services were conducted from the Estherville Norwegian Lutheran church by the pastor, S.A. Berge. His remains were interred in the Lutheran cemetery. (Estherville Democrat, Estherville, IA, March 9, 1921)

A. C. ANDERSON OBITUARY

Augustine C. Anderson was born December 12, 1881 in Ellsworth township and passed at a hospital at Estherville, March 1, 1921.

Mr. Anderson has, with the exception of a few years spent in Henry, S. D., been a life long resident of Emmet County. Here he grew up to manhood on his father's farm. For a time he engaged in farming, but later took up well work, moving into town. He was married to Miss Julia Christensen in 1912. To this union was born five children, Kenneth, Everett, Ellen, Robert and Edward who with their mother survive him. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Anderson, three sisters and a brother also are left to mourn his departure.

Mr. Anderson has not been well for some time. He became suddenly worse a few days before his death and was removed to the hospital. There he passed last Tuesday night.

Funeral services were conducted last Friday afternoon in the Estherville Nor. Luth. church, in which congregation he was baptized and confirmed by the pastor, S. A. Berge. His remains were laid to rest in the [Norwegian] Lutheran cemetery.
