Parnell Twito Services Wednesday in Estherville
Cecil Parnell Twito (known as Parnell Twito), 54, Estherville, died Dec. 29 on a trip near Humboldt. He suffered a heart attack while driving and was dead on arrival at Humboldt County Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Estherville Lutheran Church with the Rev. Stan Eyberg officiating. Burial will be made in Estherville Lutheran Cemetery, Estherville.
He was born Aug. 2, 1919 in Scarville to Emlet and Lillian Albertson Twito. The family came to Estherville when he was a child and he was educated in Estherville schools. He was married to Algeta Boyster on Feb. 6, 1942.
Mr. Twito was employed by John Morrell and Co., Estherville. He was a member of Estherville Lutheran Church and of the V.F.W., Estherville, having been a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Algeta; one son, Robert of Hartley; two daughters, Mrs. Jerry (Diane) Begley of Des Moines and Sandra at home; two grandchildren, four sisters, Mrs. Robert Hansen, Mesa, Ariz., Mrs. Gaylord Knutson, Dolliver, Mrs. Donald Alger, Spencer, Mrs. David Paulson, Wausau, Wis. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Reese-Henry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Friends may call there after noon Tuesday and until 9 a.m. Wednesday.
Serving as pallbearers will be Francis Van De Walle, Roy Danielson, Kenneth Birkland, Dawes Sconberg, Leo Mitchell and Wayne Twito. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 31, 1973)
