Estherville Woman’s Rites Set
Estherville – Mrs. Olga [Elefsen] Tendal, 89, Estherville, passed away Saturday [October 26, 1974] at Holy Family Hospital.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Estherville Lutheran Church with the Rev. Stanley Eyberg officiating. Burial will be in the Estherville Lutheran Cemetery.

Mrs. Tendal was born Nov. 4, 1887 at Grimstad, Norway, and received her education in Norway. She was married to Lars Tendal June 11, 1913 at Estherville and lived in Estherville since. Her husband died in 1961.

She was a member of the Estherville Lutheran Church and had been a resident of the Good Samaritan Center for several years.

Mrs. Tendal is survived by two sons, Lewis Tendal, Estherville and Carl Tendal, Westminster, Calif.; and one daughter, Mrs. David (Agnes) Smith, Alexandria, Va. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one daughter.

Henry Funeral Home, Estherville, is in charge of arrangements where friends may call until noon on Tuesday. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, October 28, 1974)
