Ringsted – Services for Mrs. Delmer (Mary M.) Olson, 74, will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Pastor Larry Tantow officiating. Interment will be in Estherville Lutheran Cemetery. She died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 1992 at Holy Family Hospital. Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home of Ringsted is in charge of arrangements.

She was born March 16, 1917 at West Bend, the daughter of John and Maude (Mitchell) Krough and attended Maple Hill School. On Sept. 22, 1937 she married Delmer Olson at Jackson, Minn. She lived most of her life in Palo Alto and Emmet Counties where the couple farmed. She was employed for a time by the Gardston Hotel. In 1965 the couple were administrators of the Cass County Care Facility and they retired and moved back to Ringsted in 1976. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her husband, Delmer, Ringsted; two sons, Robert, Corpus Christi, Texas and Allen, Cincinnati, Ohio; two daughters: Mrs. Gerry (Shirley) Frank, Sherburn, Minn. and Mrs. Jack (Viola) Mustard, St. Paul; 15 grandchildren; two sisters, Mildred Cronk, Ringsted and Mable White, Chariton; half-brothers Fred Krough, Estherville and Earnest Krough, Emmetsburg; one half-sister, Mrs. Vina Handeland, Carlisle.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter and three half-brothers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 4, 1992)
