Estherville – Funeral services for Thelma Munson, 88, of Estherville, will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 19, at Estherville Lutheran Church, with pastor Susan Stone officiating. Visitation will be held 4-7 p.m. Sunday, March 18, at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Chapel in Estherville. Interment will be at Estherville Lutheran Cemetery.

She died Thursday, March 15, 2007, at the Good Samaritan Center in Estherville.

Thelma Dinah Munson was born Feb. 5, 1919, near Corinth, N.D., the daughter of Andrew Gustva and Annie (Anderson) Walen.

Left to cherish Thelma’s memory are her children, Alan Munson and his wife, Reba of Spirit Lake, Janet Montgomery and her husband Dennis of Blue Earth, Minn., Janice Hobbs and her husband, John of Eagle Lake, Minn., Kenneth Munson of Estherville; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gladys (Warren) Williamson of Richfield, Minn.; Bernice Thorson of Winnebago, Minn.; one brother, Archie (Janette) Walen of Dubuque; sister-in-law, Katherine Munson of Sioux Falls, S.D.; and many nieces and nephews.
