Mrs. Edwin Iverson Dies
Mrs. Edwin M. Iverson, 90, died this morning at 11 o’clock in Holy Family hospital. She had been in the hospital for two weeks.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 pm. in the Estherville Lutheran Church with the Rev. Theodore Maakestad officiating.

Mrs. Iverson is survived by her husband who has been ill in Holy Family hospital since February; one daughter, Mrs. Lawrence N. Nelson of Estherville, one son, Dr. Maurice T. Iverson of Madison, Wis., and three grandchildren.

Rites Will Be Tuesday for Mrs. Iverson
Funeral services for Mrs. Edwin M. Iverson, 90, will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Estherville Lutheran church, the Rev. Theodore Maakestad officiating. Mrs. Iverson, a longtime resident of Emmet county, died Saturday at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Hospital where she had been hospitalized for the past two weeks.

The former Gunhild Ula, Mrs. Iverson was born Dec. 7, 1867 at Blanchardville, Wis., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Ula. She was united in marriage to Mr. Iverson on July 11, 1894 at Blanchardville. The couple moved to Emmet county immediately following their marriage, residing in the Dolliver area until 1944. At that time the couple retired and moved to Estherville, living here since.

Mrs. Iverson was a member of the Estherville Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her husband, Edwin; one daughter, Mrs. Lawrence N. (Elva) Nelson of Estherville; one son, Dr. Maurice T. Iverson of Madison, Wis.; three grandchildren, Lowell E. Nelson, a student at St. Olaf College, Northfield, Minn., Mrs. Gerald A. Polansky of Detroit, MIch., and Robert M. Iverson of Madison; one brother, John T. Ula of Blanchardville; and four sisters, Mrs. Ollie Ellerstad, Mrs.Clara Sorum, Miss Tena Ula, all of Madison, and Mr. [Mrs.] Oscar J. Schmidt of Arcadia, Wis.

Friends may call at the Sandin-Fuhrman Funeral Home from this afternoon until 11 a.m. tomorrow at which time the body will be taken to the church to lie in state until time of service.

Pallbearers for the funeral will be Martin N. Berge, Oswald Lilland, Lee Miller, Raymond L. Olson, W.L. Peterson, and Lewis Reed.

Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery here. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, May 5, 1958)
