Linda Kay Herbrandson, 5, Dies of Brain Tumor
Linda Kay Herbrandson, five-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Herbrandson, died about 7 p.m. yesterday as she was being rushed from Holy Family hospital to a hospital in Sioux City for treatment of a brain tumor. She had been ill about a month.

Linda Kay was born March 28, 1948, in Estherville, and was planning to start kindergarten next fall.

Surviving her death are her parents; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Frick and Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Herbrandson; and two sisters, Connie Ann, 8, and Carol Jean, 4.

Funeral arrangements will be held at 1:30 p.m. at the Sternborg funeral home and at 2 p.m. at the Estherville Lutheran church, the Rev. L.G. Hinderaker officiating. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, July 8, 1953)
