Estherville – Services for Lillian Myrtle Hanson, 82, will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Estherville Lutheran Church with Pastor Arlyn Norris officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. She died Thursday, Jan. 23, 1992 at Good Samaritan Center.

Friends may call at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville from 3-8 p.m. Sunday.

She was born Oct. 15, 1909 at Estherville, the daughter of Thomas and Anna (Harstad) Kinnard and attended Estherville School. On March 3, 1928 she was united in marriage with Ernest Hanson at Estherville. The couple farmed in the Estherville area following their marriage. She later was employed at the Good Samaritan Center in Estherville in the dietary department. She was a member of Estherville Lutheran Church.

Survivors include six daughters: Mrs. Leland (Doris) Alig, Mrs. Merle (Mary Jane) Johnson and Mrs. Chris (Coleen) Blass of Estherville; Mrs. Jack (Betty) Platter, Mesa, Ariz.; Mrs. Clyde (Janice) Hall, Richland Hills, Texas; Mrs. Hermie (Carolyn) Geerdes, Jackson, Minn.; one son, John Hanson, Sergeant Bluffs; 32 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; two brothers: William and Robert Kinnard, Estherville.

She was preceded in death by her husband who died July 9, 1987; one grandson; parents; two brothers and three sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 25, 1992)
