Marshall, Minn. – Services for Mrs. Alma M. Haaland formerly of Estherville were held Thurs., July 30, 10 a.m. in the First Lutheran Church in Marshall with the Rev. Daniel Jordahl officiating. Committal service was held with interment in Estherville Lutheran Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Thurs.

She was born Feb. 2, 1899 at Calumet, Mich., the daughter of Meyer and Marit Winsjansen. She died July 28, 1981 at Minneota Manor, Minneota, Minn. On June 25, 1925 she was united in marriage with Rev. Peder Carsten Haaland at Detroit, Mich. Together they served Lutheran churches in many communities including Estherville. Following her husband’s death in 1971 she moved to Marshall, Minn.

She is survived by her daughter, Margrete Jordahl, Marshall; sons John Haaland of Minneapolis and Carsten Haaland of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; four sisters; one brother; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers and one sister. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, July 31, 1981)
