Estherville – Memorial services for Carl C. Gronstal, 76, will be held Monday at 2 p.m., at the Estherville Lutheran Church with Pastor Norm Omodt officiating. He died at his home.

Henry and Olson Funeral Home of Estherville is in charge of arrangements.

Gronstal was born July 17, 1907 at Estherville, the son of Knut and Rachel [Ragnhilde] (Espevik) Gronstal. He attended the Estherville Schools. Gronstal never married. He was self-employed as a painter and interior decorator. He was a member of the Estherville Lutheran Church, Sons of Norway and the Emmet County Historical Society.

Survivors include six nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers and one sister. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, July 28, 1984)
