Adel – Services for Beryl E. [Burtenshaw] Freiermuth-Wogen, 84, will be held at 11 a.m. today at the McCalley Funeral Home in Adel. Private burial of cremains will be held at the family at a later date at the Lutheran Cemetery in Estherville. She died on Monday, June 23 at Adel Acres Care Center in Adel.

Visitation will be held an hour before and an hour after the services Tuesday at the funeral home.

She was born in Chicago, Ill. She spent her early years in the Chicago area and almost 50 years in the Estherville area prior to moving to Adel in 1990. She was employed as a sales clerk for Sears and Roebuck for many years and retired in 1978. She has been a resident of Adel Acres Care Center since 1990.

She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and the Wa-tan-ye club in Estherville.

She is survived by three children, David Freiermuth of Peoria, Ariz.; Doug Freiermuth of Reedsburg, Wis.; and Marlene Weeks of Lynnwood, Wash.; 13 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, two husbands, Francis Freiermuth and Elmer Wogen, and two sisters.
