Estherville – Services for Mrs. Pauline Brunsvold, 77, Estherville, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Estherville Lutheran Church with interment in the church cemetery. Pastors Stan Eyberg and Norman Omodt officiated and Henry and Olson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. She died Friday [July 2, 1982] at the Good Samaritan Center.

Pauline Sorensen was born May 10, 1905 at Spirit Lake, the daughter of Sophus and Petrina (Hansen) Sorensen. She attended rural Dickinson County schools. On Dec. 18, 1929 she married Walter Brunsvold at Estherville. The couple farmed north of Superior until his retirement in 1961 when they moved into Estherville. He died in 1965.

She was an active member of the Estherville Lutheran Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Arden (Shirley) Hakes, Jackson, Minn., one son, Wally Brunsvold, Spirit Lake; 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, Garnita Bauer and two brothers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, July 6, 1982)
