Estherville – Funeral services for Nelson David Bardo, 81, Estherville, will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Estherville Lutheran Church with the Rev. Stanley Eyberg and Obert Rust officiating and burial in the church cemetery. He died Tuesday [July 29, 1975] morning at Holy Family Hospital.

Mr. Bardo was born April 22, 1894 at Urbana to David W. and Mary Ida Rupp Bardo and was educated in country schools in Iowa and South Dakota. He was married to Mildred Swanson April 8, 1938 in the Little Brown Church in Nashua. He moved to South Dakota in 1909 and back to the Estherville area in 1933 where he farmed near Gruver until his retirement in 1970. He has been a member of the Estherville Lutheran Church.

Suvivors include his wife, Gruver; and one sister, Bertha Bardo, Richland Center, Wis. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Friends may call at the Henry Funeral Home all day Thursday and until time of services Friday. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, July 30, 1975)
