Friends may call at Fuhrman’s until time of the services.

Mrs. Schryver had been in failing health for the past several years and her death was attributed to complications of advanced age.

Born March 27, 1873 at Boonsboro, Md., she was the daughter of Andrew and Sarah Jane Ridenour, and received her education in Boonsboro.

The former Mary Kathryn Ridenour was married Feb. 8, 1900 to Edwin J. Schryver at Polo, Ill., and they made their home near Polo and at Ruthven, Iowa, before coming to Estherville in 1916.

Mrs. Schryver was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church and an active member of the Fidellas Class as long as her health permitted. She also was a 50-year member of both the Eastern Star and Rebekah lodges and was a member of the White Shrine and the Social Order Beauceant.

One son, Harry of Estherville, survives Mrs. Schryver’s death. A brother, Courtney Ridenour of Moorland, Okla., also survives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, George, and eight brothers and sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 21, 1963)
