Former Resident of County Dies at Omaha
Daniel Quade, 77, former Dolliver, Estherville and Emmetsburg resident, died Friday [January 1, 1954] in Omaha at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Harry Lair. Mr. Quade was a member of the State Highway Commission while living at Estherville. His body is being returned to Estherville for burial and funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. at Sandin’s Funeral Home. The casket will be open and after services that friends may view the body. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery. Mr. Quade is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Harry Lair of Omaha; two brothers, Frank of Brownstown, Ill., and John of Tonica, Ill; six sisters, Mrs. Emma Guitner, Mrs. Lillie Stine, both of Brownstown, Ill.; Mrs. Lydia Hayzenfield of Vandalia, Ill.; Mrs. Minnie Rideout of Tice, Fla.; Mrs. Ricka Spapp of Urbana, Ill.; Mrs. Mary Claves of Arlington, Va.
