Humboldt – Graveside services for Richard Pannell, former Estherville resident, will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Oak Hill Cemetery in Estherville, following services in the morning at the United Methodist Church in Hardy, Iowa. He died Feb. 9, 1982 at his home in Humboldt.

He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Pannell and lived on a farm south of Estherville. After serving in the army in 1942 he was a teacher at Ringsted, Fenton, Seneca and Estherville.

Survivors include one brother, Joseph Pannell, Lemon Grove, Calif.; two sisters, Ethel Bloomquist and Dorothy Coon both of LuVerne, Calif. and one sister Margaret Bliss who lives in Ames.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Maurice and Harold. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, February 16, 1982)
