Julius Naas [Nass], 82, Dies of Heart Attack
Julius Naas, 82, of Estherville died yesterday at 6:25 p.m. at Holy Family Hospital. Mr. Naas had been in poor health for some time but a heart attack was cause of his death.

He was born July 15, 1876, at Warsaw, Poland and came to this country in 1907. He was married to Matilda Krebs Feb. 16, 1900, in Russia. They farmed near Whittemore until 1930, when they moved to the Estherville area. They farmed in the vicinity until 1940, when they retired and moved to town. Mr. Naas was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife and seven children. They are Mrs. Willie (Nathalia) Schealler of Ringsted; Mrs. Melvin (Pauline) Triplett of Comfrey, Minn.; Robert of Kansas City, Kans.; Daniel of Mentor, Minn.; William of Sherburn, Minn.; Walter and Samuel, both of Estherville. Also surviving are one brother, Adolph of Whittemore, 23 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Mr. Naas was preceded in death by a daughter, Rosella.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Rev. William P. Henline officiating. The Sternborg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Friends may call there from Thursday until Friday morning, when the body will lie in state at the church. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, February 25, 1959)
