Bert Myers Dies
R.W. Myers and Wess Myers have received word of the death of their brother Bert Myers last Friday in Fort Smith, Ark. Mr. Myers was a former resident of Estherville and a veteran of World War I. He lived here from 1906 to 1914. Bert Myers was born in Cedar Rapids and lived in Watertown, S.D., Estherville, Fort Smith, Ark., and Cedar Rapids during his lifetime. He was a resident of Fort Smith at the time of his death. Mr. Myers is survived by five brothers, William of Cedar Rapids, Walt of Mason City, George of Fort Smith, Ark. and Wess and R.W. of Estherville. His parents, one brother and one sister preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at the Sternborg Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Clyde Leeds officiating. Interment will be at Oak Hill cemetery. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 28, 1953)
