ESTHERVILLE – Services for Robert "Rob" Wayne Rouse, 19, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Estherville with Father Richard Birdsall officiating. Interment will be St. Patrick's Cemetery in Estherville. He died Wednesday, Oct. 16 [1991] at his home in Estherville. Friends may call after 3:00 p.m. Friday at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville.

Legion of Mary Rosary will be prayed at 4:00 p.m. Friday; Parish Vigil Prayer Service will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday, both at the funeral home.

He was born Feb. 28, 1972 in Estherville, the son of Wayne and Patricia Agnes (Thelen) Rouse. He attended Demoney and the Middle School in Estherville and graduated from Estherville High School in 1990.

Rob enjoyed sports during high school, including basketball, bowling and was the kicker on the 1989 high school football team. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing, hunting pheasants and ducks with his father and playing tennis with his mother. He also enjoyed the Rouse and Thelen family outings. He was employed by Northwest Iowa Masonary in Estherville. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Estherville.

He is survived by his parents, Wayne and Pat Rouse of Estherville; his grandmother, Mary Alice Rouse of Terril, his grandfather, Bert Thelen of Estherville; and by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by one brother Joseph Raymond, his grandfather Raymond Rouse and by his grandmother Evelyn Thelen. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, October 17, 1991)
