ESTHERVILLE - Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Jo Goecke, 86, of Estherville will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Estherville with Monsignor Michael Sernett as Celebrant. Interment will be at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery in Estherville.

She died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, at Rosewood Manor in Estherville.

Mary Jo (Reynolds) Goecke, the daughter of Ona and Frances (Maloney) Reynolds, was born March 13, 1926, in Estherville.

She received her education and graduated from Estherville High School.

On Jan. 31, 1945, she was united in marriage to Vernon Goecke in Estherville. Following their marriage, the couple farmed west of Estherville. Mary Jo was employed at Moreau Chiropractor Office in Estherville for many years, working for both Dr. Paul Moreau and later his son, Dr. Bill.

She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Estherville.

Left to cherish Mary Jo's memory are her children, Mark Goecke of Russellville, Ark., Jeff Goecke of Estherville, Becky Baker of Estherville, Laura Burns of Des Moines and Scott Goecke and his wife, Darla, of Estherville; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brother, Mike Reynolds, of Estherville and sister, Colleen Paulson, of Wallingford.

She has been preceded in death by her husband; parents and brothers, Barney and Douglas.
