Young Girl Dies at Graettinger
Joyce Elaine Miller, 15, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Miller of Graettinger, died at her home Aug. 6 after an illness. The young girl was born in Emmetsburg township and was an only child of her parents.

Funeral services were held Monday at the Graettinger Methodist church with the Rev. Heber Miller officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill cemetery at Estherville with the Martin Funeral home in charge. Pall bearers were James Currans, John Zitterick, Robert Whitney, George Thompson, Kermit and Gilbert Reeves. Many friends of the Miller family were saddened to learn of Joyce’s death. Funeral Was Held Monday Afternoon
Mr. and Mrs. Henry T. Miller of south of Graettinger, mourn the death of their daughter, Joyce Elaine, aged 15. Joyce had been ill for some time. The funeral was held Monday afternoon at the Methodist church, Graettinger, with the Rev. J. Heber Miller officiating. Interment was in Oak Hill cemetery, Estherville. Pallbearers were James Currans, Gib and Kerm Reaves, Jake Zitterich, Robert Jensen and Robert Whitney. Joyce was born in Emmetsburg township July 14, 1933. She was the only child of the family. Her health had been poorly for a long time. Friends of the family join the Times in extending sincere sympathy to the sorrowing parents. (Graettinger Times, Graettinger, IA, August 12, 1948)
