Mrs. Grace King
Mrs. Grace King, active churchwoman and Sunday school leader at the Union Baptist church, Estherville, died Nov. 5 at the Holy Family hospital after a short illness. She was buried Nov. 8 in the Oak Hill cemetery after services at the Union Baptist church. The Rev. G.E. Forssell officiated at the burial service.Mrs. King was born Sept. 21, 1891 in Estherville. She was educated in Estherville schools and was a graduate of Estherville high school, class of 1911.
On May 19, 1912, she was married to I.E. King, Estherville.
Mrs. King had spent all of her life in Estherville. In 1922 she went to work for the J.E. Wilson bakery. When that firm was replaced by the Dutch Maid baker, Mrs. King went to work in the new establishment and continued there until the time of her death.
Survivors include her daughter, Helen, her sister, Mrs. Simon Frey, and two brothers, H.L. Lucas and E.S. Lucas. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 16, 1949)
