Estherville – Services for Kenneth Krantz, 64, Estherville, will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home, Estherville, with interment in Oak Hill Cemetery. There will be military graveside services by the Estherville VFW and American Legion.

Mr. Krantz died Dec. 25 at the Veterans Hospital in Des Moines.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 6:30 o’clock tonight until time of services.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Krantz, he was born Aug. 18, 1915, in Estherville. He received his education in Estherville schools and then was employed by the M and St. L. Railroad. He also served in the U.S. Army during World War II and after his service he returned to Estherville where he was employed by a plastering firm until becoming disabled 15 years ago. He moved to the Soldier’s Home in Marshalltown in the summer of 1978, where he resided until entering the VA Hospital in Des Moines.

He was a 30-year member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Mr. Krantz is survived by one sister, Mrs. Irene Reno, Spirit Lake. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 27, 1979)
