To close for Funeral
Estherville – Estherville City Hall will be closed from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, for the funeral services for Mrs. Ann Klein, according to Tom Noteboom, city clerk.

Mrs. Klein was a radio dispatcher for the Estherville Police Department. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, April 27, 1981)

Estherville – Ann Klein, 64, Estherville, was pronounced dead-on-arrival at Holy Family Hospital Saturday.

Services for Mrs. Klein will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Estherville with the Rev. Clifford Haider officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home in Estherville until 9 a.m. Tuesday and at the church one hour prior to services.

The daughter of Harry and Maude Higbie, she was born Jan. 16, 1917, in Maple Ridge Township in Minnesota and received her education in Maple Ridge Township schools. She was married to Otto Klein on April 5, 1975, at Spencer.

She was employed by the F.W. Woolworth Store in Estherville and as a dispatcher for the Estherville Police Department for the past eight years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Klein is survived by two sons, Robert Garrison, Daltona, Fla., and Richard Garrison, Arnolds Park; one daughter, Mrs. Lloyd (Jean) Petticord, Spencer; five grandchildren; two brothers, Thomas Higbie, Sioux City, and Harry Higbie, Vanderhoof, British Columbia, Canada; and two sisters, Mrs. Cecil (Mary) Payne, Brandon, Miss., and Mrs. Eldon (Daisy) Rouse, Ayrshire.
