Delma Huntley
Estherville – Services for Mrs. Darrell (John) Huntley, 65, will be held Monday at 10:30 in the United Methodist Church with Rev. Clifford Haider officiating, interment to be in Oak Hill Cemetery. She died Friday morning in Holy Family Hospital.Delma Lowe was born Aug. 11, 1916 at Whitten, Ia. the daughter of Charles and Delma Lowe. She received her education in the rural Emmet County Schools. On March 19, 1932 she was united in marriage to Darrell (John) Huntley at Estherville. They lived in the area until 1955 when they moved into Estherville. She worked for the P.G. Gray Produce Co. and Wallingford Elevator.
Mrs. Huntley was a member of the United Methodist Church and UMW.
Survivors include her husband, Estherville; one son Leroy Huntley of Dolliver; four daughters: Mrs. Charles (Lila) Meyers, Estherville, Mrs. Robert (Bessie) Rienhardt, Dunnell, Minn., Mrs. Vern (Lulabelle) Schwidder, Estherville, Mrs. Hazel Christiansen, Mason City; 19 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; five brothers: Charles Lowe, Walterloo, Harley Lowe, Sheffield, Donald, Roland and J.C. Lowe all of Mason City; four sisters: Mrs. Thelma Bailey, Wallingford, Mrs. Verna Angel, Mason City, Mrs. Frieda Rezab, Plymouth and Mrs. Gladys Whitehurt, Ventura.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two grandchildren. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, August 6, 1982)
