Services Friday for Mrs. Mary Fank, Dolliver
Dolliver – Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Reese-Henry Funeral Chapel in Estherville for Mrs. Mary Fank, 85, who died at 11 a.m. Tuesday [September 30, 1969] at Holy Family Hospital. She had been in poor health for many years and cause of death was infirmities of advanced age.

She was born Sept. 4, 1884 at Ackley, to Mr. and Mrs. John Blom. She was educated in Ackley and Emmet County schools.

She was married Oct. 10, 1906 to Charles Fank at Estherville. She was a longtime Dolliver area resident. She was a member of the Dolliver United Methodist Church.

She is survived by one son, John Fank, Dolliver; four daughters, Mrs. Tillie Vandevanter, Estherville; Mrs. Ervin (Elizabeth) Hein, Dolliver; Mrs. William (Ethel) Griffin, Chicago, Ill., and Mrs. LeRoy Larson (Barbara), Armstrong; 18 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two daughters, and two brothers.

Family services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Reese-Henry Chapel in Estherville and public services will be at 2 p.m. with Rev. Travis Cannaday officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Estherville.

Friends may call at the Reese-Henry Chapel from noon on Thursday until time of service on Friday. The family request that the casket not be opened at any time. A memorial has been established. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, October 1, 1969)
