Estherville – Services for Mrs. Frank (Helen) Fahrion, 83, will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at 11 a.m. at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Chapel with Rev. Clarence Richardsen officiating. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. She died Saturday, June 28, at Holy Family Hospital.

Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman.

She was born Sept. 15, 1902, at McLellans Mountain, Nova Scotia, Canada. She received her education in Canada and married Frank J. Fahrion May 30, 1931. She became a naturalized citizen in 1939. The couple lived in Estherville from 1948 to 1952. She returned to Estherville in 1967 and lived with her longtime friend, Mrs. Jay (Lora) Howard until Howard’s death in 1984. She had been a resident at Good Samaritan Center since that time. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Robert Smith, Mesa, Ariz., and one brother Rodney MacKay, Nova Scotia, Canada.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Frank. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, June 30, 1986)
