Kalamazoo, Mich. – Memorial services for Mrs. S.G. (Myrtle)[Myrtle Ella Buhmeyer] Ewen, 93, formerly of Estherville, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at the First Presbyterian Church in Estherville. She died Wednesday, Oct. 2, 1985 at Kalamazoo.

She was born Sept. 6, 1892 in Baraboo, Wis. and was married to Dr. Stanley Ewen on May 30, 1918. He died in 1955. She lived in Estherville most of her life (1919-1960) and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. Her husband, Dr. S.G. Ewen practiced dentistry while they lived in Estherville. She lived in Clearwater, Fla. from 1960 until moving to Kalamazoo in 1979.

Survivors include one daughter, Rosemary Hatfield, Kalamazoo; a granddaughter, Jo Ann Gonzalez, Kalamazoo; a grandson, Jim Betty, Estherville; four great-grandchildren and a sister Marie Miller, Williford, Ark.

Memorials may be given to the Estherville Community Christian School. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, October 8, 1985)
