William Eisenhower Rites Saturday in Estherville
William Arnold Eisenhower, 71, Estherville, died at 4 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, 1972, at Holy Family Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Christian Church in Estherville with the Rev. Robert Miler officiating. Burial will be made in Oak Hill Cemetery.

He was born Feb. 22, 1901, on a farm in Emmet County to William and Rosella Eisenhower and educated in the Huntington and Estherville schools. On June 18, 1925, he was married to Helen Williams in Jackson, Minn. They farmed for 17 years in Emmet County. He was employed by Sears Roebuck and Co. for five years and groundskeeper of Estherville Golf and Country Club for 10 years. He retired about five years ago.

He was a member of the Christian Church of Estherville and served on the board of deacons for many years.

Survivors include his wife, Helen, two daughters, Mrs. Eldon (Gladys) Sabin of Garden Grove and Mrs. George (Alice) Moeckly of West Des Moines; two granddaughters and four grandsons; four sisters, Mrs. Mae Jackson, Mrs. Nellie Hatland and Mrs. Lillian Mauck, all of Estherville, and Mrs. John Crandell of Salinas, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter, one sister and two brothers.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. Friday at Reese-Henry Funeral Home in Estherville. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 9, 1972)
