Scarlet Fever – We report the unpleasant news that scarlet fever is in our midst and that several fatal cases have already resulted from it. Mr. John Crumb and Mr. Eli Bunt each lost a child this week and there are others not expected to recover. (Northern Vindicator, Estherville, IA, April 6, 1972)
