Georgetown, Tex. – Masonic graveside rites will be held Wednesday, 1:30 p.m. at the Oak Hill Cemetery, Estherville, for David G. Crawford, 75, a native of Estherville. He died June 6, 1984 at Georgetown.Coffee will be served at the Masonic Temple following the services.
Crawford was born March 28, 1909 in Estherville, the son of James and Agnes Crawford, pioneers of early Estherville. For 17 years he was co-proprietor of the Crawford Brothers Food Store. He was a fifty-year member of the Masons, and served as master of North Star Lodge, No. 447 A.F. & A.M.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred [Collins] of Georgetown; daughters, Mrs. Jean C. Gleason, Georgetown and Mrs. Mary C. Walker, San Antonio, Tex.; a brother, Carl J. Crawford, Albuquerque, N.M.; and four grandchildren.
The family asks in lieu of flowers those who desire may send memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, June 12, 1984)
