Mrs. Gleason Brot To Estherville For Burial Tues.
Funeral services for Mrs. C. Gleason who passed away Sunday at her home in Winona, Minn., were held her this morning and interment was made in Oak Hill cemetery. Mrs. Gleason [Nancy Emily Gillam Byfield Gleason] was 78 years of age. She is the stepmother of Walter Gleason, formerly head clerk in the Shadle store, and grandmother of Mrs. Hazel Soper of Boone. She lived in Estherville for many years and is known here as Mrs. C.S. Byfield. Mr. Byfield ran a livery and her son Will was a restaurant man here for many years. Mrs. W. Gleason Laid to Rest in Oak Hill Cemetery

Mrs. W. Gleason, [Nancy Emily Gillam Byfield Gleason] a former resident of this city, was laid to rest in the Oak Hill Cemetery this morning. Mrs. Gleason passed away at her home in Winona, Minn., on Sunday [July 12, 1931] last. The remains were shipped here for burial. The services this morning were conducted from the Mahlum & Anderson parlors, the Rev. WinterStein officiating.

Mrs. Gleason was formerly Mrs. C. S. Byfield. She resided her for many years. She was a Christian woman with an outstanding character. It was the pleasure of the writer to reside Mrs. Byfield for many years and we now she was a most wonderful woman, a fine neighbor and exceedingly kind to children.
